I speak about the things that matter most in the world of work. These include workplace behaviour, leadership, organisational culture, psychological safety, career navigation, and the human side of organisations. I challenge assumptions, offer fresh perspectives, and leave every audience with insights they can apply immediately.
Dynamic, engaging, and consistently described as insightful, I leave audiences seeing the world of work a little differently than when they walked in. Below are some of the topics I focus on.
1. The Psychology of Workplace Bullying
Workplace bullying is more common than most organisations care to admit and more damaging than most leaders recognise. What does it look like, why does it persist, and what can organisations do to create environments where it cannot thrive? Drawing on psychology and real cases, this talk gives leaders and HR professionals practical tools to identify, address, and prevent bullying before it destroys individuals and teams.
2. Understanding What Drives People at Work
Why do some employees give everything while others disengage quietly? Why do talented people leave organisations that seem to offer everything they need? This talk unpacks the psychology of motivation at work, what research tells us about human behaviour, and what leaders can do to create conditions in which people genuinely want to perform.
3. Building Psychological Safety in Organisations
Many organisations confuse psychological safety with being nice, avoiding conflict, or making everyone comfortable. This talk cuts through the noise, clarifying what it really means, what the research shows about its impact on performance, and how leaders can build it authentically without lowering standards or sidestepping difficult conversations.
4. The Dark Side of Leadership
We talk a lot about what makes great leaders. We talk far less about what derails them. Drawing on 30 years of executive assessment experience, this talk examines the psychological traits that make leaders effective in the short term but destructive over time, giving organisations a framework for identifying leadership risk early and developing leaders who are as psychologically aware as they are professionally capable.
5. Navigating the Complex World of Work
Work has never been more complex, for individuals building meaningful careers and for organisations trying to retain and develop their people. This talk addresses the psychological challenges individuals face at every stage of their working lives, including career transitions, workplace conflict, burnout, loneliness, and the search for meaning at work. Practical, honest, and grounded in real experience, every audience member walks away with something they can apply immediately.
